Engine double trouble
The "Cap San Lazaro", en route from Rotterdam towards the Suez Canal with a crew of 23 on board, suffereda a main engine breakdown due to an electrical fault, in position 50 03 51.6 N, 002 23 15 W, on June 12, 2019, at 09.50 a.m. The vessel was safely underway again at 10.40 a.m. In the afternoon if encountered electrical issues in the main engine in position 049 38 17 N, 003 42 22 W, 43 miles from Dartmouth. The incident was reported to the Coastguard at 5.15 p.m. There was a speculation that the incident could have been a possible reoccurrence of an earlier issue involving the main engine. The exact nature of the fault was investigated by engineers.
