Collision off Imabari
On Oct 25, 2021, at 3.20 a.m.. the cargo m/v 'SS Sun' (IMO: 9135028) was in collision with the 'Hua Hang Han Ya 2' in the Kurushima Strait off the coast of Imabari City. One Burmese crew member of the 'SS Sun' was slightly injured. He suffered a cut on his face and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Both ships remained able to navigate on their own. The Imabari Coast Guard was investigating the cause of the accident. The 'SS Sun' berthed in Imabari after the accident. The 'Hua Hang Han Ya 2' moored off the port as of Oct 26.
