Smyril Line extended charter
The Smyril Line has extended the charter of the 'Lista' for another 11 months in September 2025. She had initally replaced the 'Glyvursnes' IMO: 9198977), which had operated on the Tórshavn-Hirtshals-Þorlákshöfn route and was severely damaged by an engine room fire in Hirtshals on Jan 2, resulting in one crew member's death. Its repairs were completed on May 2. The 'Lista' ist operating between Rotterdam and Tórshavn.
Port of lay up changed
The "Strait of Magellan", which was laid up at Tilbury since Aug 29, 2011, sailed for Bristol in the evening of June 13, 2012, with an ETA June 15, 2 pm., to join the laid up sister "Bering Strait" which is in port since Jan 12.
