Container fell into port water
Two containers fell into the water from the 'Monte Cervantes' during cargo operations at the Tecon container terminal in Santos on April 14, 2022. The damaged boxes were recovered with shore side cranes. Four more containers collapsed, but remained on board entangled in each other. The vessel had arrived at Santos from Jacksonville in the morning hours.
Main engine trouble in Tanger-Med
The 'Monte Cervantes' is to be brought to Cadiz shipyard under tow shortly, for repairs to be carried out, following main engine problems. The vessel has been berthed at the APM Tanger Med 2 Container Terminal in Tanger since Jan 30, 2022, after its arrival from Campamento.
Cargo damage enroute to Santos
