Allision in Gresik
During the docking manoever at the PT Petrokimia in Gresik port on Jan 1, 208, at 8.45 a.m., the "Action Trader" slammed into a mooring bridge. The bulk carrier damaged a dolphin and destroyed a catwalk before the could be brought under control again. There was minor damage to the port side, the ship was towed to the Petrokimia jetty. On Jan 9 at 1.40 a.m. the bulk carrier sailed from Gresik and was anchored 20 nautical miles from Gresik, in lat 06 49 49.73S, long 112 47 09.31E. An underwater survey was conducted to check the condition of its hull. Officials have also interviewed the captain of the vessel.
