Allision in Gulf of Siam
The supply tanker HTMS "Chunag", 180 dwt was in allision with the "Dongyang Chemi" in the morning of Feb 26, 2019, in the Map Ta Put area, Rayong Province, in the Gulf of Siam. The tanker was under way after loading fresh water, but got out of control after an engine failure, and allided with the anchored "Dongyang Chemi". The HTMS "Chuang" suffered a bow dent, while the chemical tanker suffered hull breaches above the waterline. On Feb 27, the "Dongyang Cehmi" moved to the Thai Navy Base Sattahip for repairs and investigations.
