Alliision in Umm Qasr
The tanker "Hafid" allided with the "Maersk Kara" at the port of Umm Qasr on Feb 24, 2019. The "Maersk Kara" was loading cargo, while moored alongside Berth No.9, and the "Hafid" was manoeuvring on the river channel toward Berth No.8 of the port. Both vessels remained stationary in the port as of Feb 26.
Maersk Tankers snaps up Marwave handy
Maersk Tankers has again turned to Marwave Shipmanagement, purchasing a further handy tanker from the Dutch outfit. Broker sources told Splash that the Saffo has been reported sold to the Copenhagen-based shipping company for a price around $18m.
