Repair of grounding damage in Durban
The "Avocet" which had run aground at Lagos on Sep 22, 2017, berthed at Cape Town on Jan 10, 2018, in order to conduct repairs to damages sustained in the accident. The bulkcarrier sailed from Cape Town on Jan 17 at 6.43 p.m. and subsequently arrived at Durban Anchorage on Jan 22 at 3 p.m. and went into dry dock on Jan 24 for repairs to her underwater hull.
