Master charged for not reporting accident immediately
The "Mia B" was refloated in the afternoon of July 6 and returned to the port of Frederiksværk where was now investigated regarding damage to the hull. On July 5 a tug in vain had tried to pull the ship off the sand and mud flats it was stuck on. Subsequently a dredging vessel started to dig a trench to the ship, and a larger tug finally succeeded S to pull the ship free. It was berthed in port around 8 p.m. The Police Nordsjælland had sent a boat from Hundested to question the captain of the "Mia B" and check if he was intoxicated. Though this was not the case, he was charged with not having alerted the authorities immediately after the grounding but only an hour later. Mia B aground in Roskilde Fjord
On July 4, 2014, the "Mia B" suffered a technical error and ran aground in Roskilde Fjord, about a mile off Frederiksværk around 5 p.m. The ship was en route from the Dan Steel in Frederiksvaerk to Norway with a cargo of steel plates when she was hit by a snag which made it impossible for the ship to maneuver. A vessel of the Danish Naval Home Guard has inspected the ship which was stuck on sand and mud flats.
