Medevac in Gulf of Aden
The USS "San Antonio" responded to a medical emergency involving a Polish crewmember ofthe "Fernando" in the Gulf of Aden. The warship responded to a distress call about 5:30 p.m. on Sep 12, 2016. The medical team boarded the vessel to provide assistance to the crewmember who was then transported to the "San Antonio" for further medical assistance. The team determined that the crewmember needed hospital care and coordinated a medical evacuation to a hospital in Oman for treatment.
