MAERSK CAP JERVIS 9484572
After a few delays the largest container ship to enter the Port of Napier ever finally arrived on Friday night. The 59,300-tonne Hamburg Sud vessel Cap Jervis had originally been scheduled to dock just after dawn on Friday but it remained at anchor in the stream until Friday evening. The ship's size, along with tides and conditions, is understood to have altered its schedule. Getting the giant vessel in and out of port proved no problem. It departed about 6pm Saturday.
