The repatriation of the body of José Luis Álvarez has been delayed until next week. The fishing company told the family that it was not possible to move it to another ship until Dec 10, 2018, from the "Madrus", the ship on which José Luis Álvarez was working. The delay was attributed to bad weather. José Luis Álvarez died on Nov 28 aboard the trawler in the waters pf Terranova. The cause of death was related to a strong blow from one of the trawl doors located at the stern of the ship. The owner of the "Madrus", which is operated by the companies Largispot and MFV Lootus, told the family on Nov 29 that it planned to transfer the body to another ship, the "Santa Cristina", which was scheduled to arrive later this week at the port of Aveiro. The family will request an autopsy to determine the causes that caused the death of the sailor, who was 45 years old.
