Freighter towed to Durban after grounding

The 'Barrier' ran aground in the night of April 6, 2020, while leaving Beira where she had been anchored since early March. The ship was disabled, and towed to Durban, arriving at Durban Anchorage on April 13 where it remained moored in pos. 29° 44.71' N 031° 11.40' E as of April 14. It has not been allowed into the port for repairs, due to the COVID-19 restrictions in place. It finally entered Durban for repairs, on May 5. The COVID-19 restrictions remained in place.Repairs have since started at Durban, including engine repairs for unspecified problem and hole in the hull. The repairs were completed on June 10,, and the ship sailed from Durban on June 11 at 9.55 p.m. with an ETA in Cape Town as of June 14.
