The 'Macao' allided with a pier while berthing at the port of Helsinki despite the assistance of a stern tug on Aug 10, 2021, at 4.30 a.m. There was no reported injuries or pollution. The Portuguese safety office was investigating the incident together with the Finnish maritime safety investigation office. The vessel sailed from Helsinki the same day at 8.10 p.m., headed to Rauma, where it arrived on Aug 12.
