Allision in Brunsbüttel
Coning from Newport, UK, the "Avra" allided with the embankment of the Kiel Canal upion entering the Great Southern Lock in Brunsbüttel during the storm Herwart on Oct 29, 2017, at 3 a.m. The ship dropped anchor and waited for tugs which escorted it into the locks once it was refloated. The bulkcarrier moored at the Navy Pilings in the inner port of Brunsbüttel. It was allowed to continue the eastbound voyage assisted by the tug "Wolf" at 1 p.m.
