Two crew members medeaced in coma, ship towed to safety
Two crew members of the "Wise SW" were medevaced in South Vietnam waters after the ship requested urgent medical assistance in the night of Jan 12, 2018. The ship was under way off Vung Tau, and the medevac was coordinated by the Vietnam MRCC. The badly wounded sailors, the Chinese national Zhang Li Jin, 49, and Myanmar national Tun Tun Oo, 31, were both in a coma when they arrived in hospital. They had slipped in heavy seas while the ship carrying pulp from Singapore to China. Vietnamese rescue forces later towed the ship to safety.
