Fuel spill after allision
A lighter allided with the moored 'Xiangsheng Harmony' on Boshnyakovo Anchorage at the West coast of Central Sakhalin in the afternoon of May 21, 2021, while maneuvering to moor alongside the bulk carrier’s port side. ITs bow breached bulk the hull in the fuel tank area above the water line, resulting in an immediate fuel spill. The ship was fenced off with booms, and an antipollution operation was launched.
