Engine trouble off Terschelling

The "Hoegh Trooper" was anchored 24 nautical miles from Terschelling, in lat 53 44 09N, long 04 56 20.4E, on March 1, 2018, at 05.30 a.m. The ship was under way from Bremerhaven to Zeebrugge when it reported serious engine trouble in position 53 41 30N, 005 51 00E, at 06.15 a.m. After many hours of repairing, the vessel requested towing assistance at 7.50 p.m. The JRCC Den Helder advised to let the company arrange a towing contract. The port of destination will be Emden. In the morning Mar 3, seemingly under own power, escorted by SAR tug "Guardian" (IMO: 9637363) north of Den Helder.
