Ferry suffered technical problems
On Dec 19, 2024, Torghatten Midt reported that the connection Skei - Gutvik has been canceled until further notice due to technical problems of the 'Leka'. It was not known when the ferry will be back on schedule. Work was underway to obtain a spare vessel and the connection was expected to resume this afternoon. In fact the route was resumed with a departure at 1:40 p.m. from Skei.
Ferry broke down after overhaul
Just a few hours after the "Leka" left yard and was put in traffic on Sep 28, 2016, at 12.40 a.m., the ship broke down and had to be withdwrawn from the ferry route Skei-Gutvik. On Sep 29 at 10.00 the Torghatten Trafikkselskap announced that the "Leka" was back in traffic.
Ferry suffered technical trouble
Due to technical problems the "Leka" may only offer a reduced capacity until further notice. The trouble started in the night of Sep 4, 2014, underway to Leka, and in the morning these were still not resolved. At 2 p.m. TTS announced that the ferry route would be operating in the afternoon, but with a reduced capacity. Departure from Gutvik was at 6.25 p.m., further disruptions were not ruled out.
