17 crew members arrested as suspects in drug trafficking
The Venezuelan Prosecutor Office arrested the 17 crewmembers of the "Jose Progress" as well as three Venezuelans as suspects in drug trafficking. Arrested were 13 Filipinos, Filipinos Enrico Gómez, Elpidio Leones, Ibrahim Nodi, Rodney Insong, Derwing Oabel, Daryl Alveniz, Hans Villamor, Jan Amor, Charilie Mella, Anthony Sindagan, Néstor Molina, Constante Gano and Kendric Calanog; three Russians, Alexander Kravtson, Oleg Varkamov and Michael Marasigan; and one Ukrainian, Yuriy Trybusian. All have been charged with drug trafficking and criminal complicity. The ship has also been arrested. It was moored on Puerto La Cruz Anchorage since Oct 9, 2018.
