Engine failure in Bosphorus
The 'Lecko' suffered an engine failure while transiting the Bosphorus in northern direction on Jan 8, 2022, at around 6 p.m. UTC Jan 8. The Istanbul Traffic Control responded, and the ship was taken in tow by the tug 'Kurtarma 11' and puled to the Büyükdere anchorage. The problem was addressed, and the vessel resumed the transit at around 03.30 a.m. in Jan 9. At 4.15 p.m it berthed in Eregli. The ship was en route from Ceuta to Zonguldak.
