Engine failure off Gladstone
The "Hyundai Komipo", laden with coal, was was taken in tow by three tugs off the port of Gladstone after she lost power shortly after departing the RG Tanna Coal Terminal at 3.30 p.m. when it lost power in the afternoon of Feb 25, 2018. The vessel was on its way through the shipping channel between Tannum Sands and Facing Island when the engine failed. Three Smit Lamnalco tugs attended the ship. The "Hyundai Komipo" regained power during the towing operation and finally left for Boryeong, Korea.
