Allision in Hodeidah
The "Magnum Fortune", while maneuvering into Hodeidah port, suffered an engine failure and allided with the LPG-tanker "Gas Odyssey", which was moored at Dolphin berth no. 2 and discharging a cargo of liquid petroleum gas, on March 6, 2019, at 11.35 a.m. The bulkcarrier sustained railing and air vent pipe damage. The "Gas Odyssey" sustained slight scratches to the hull. With assistance of a tug, the bulk carrier was moored at berth no. 2 and commenced its cargo discharge at 5.50 p.m. The vessel was carrying 23,000 tons of wheat, bound from Djibouti to Hodeidah.
