13 crew members tested positive for COVID-19
After the 'Amundsen Spirit' sailed from Gdansk on Aug 10, 2020, after completing repairs at the Pilsudski Shipyard, she had to moor at theouter anchorage the same day, after 13 out of 32 crew members were tested positive for COVID-19 prior to departure. One crew member was taken to hospital. The rest of the crew remained on board. The Polish Authorities did not have an authority over the tanker, because she has anchored in international waters. The ship remaind moored in pos. 54° 27.42' N 018° 41.74' E as of Aug 12.
