Mass food poisoning caused one dead
On Feb 5, 2021, a mass food poisoning among the crew occurred aboard the 'Lanna Naree' in the Indian Ocean southsoutheast of the Maldives, while enroute from Laem Chabang to Puerto Rico. The ship changed course and headed to Male where it arrived on Feb 9. All 18 crew members were poisoned, and one of them died. The crew was disembarked on Feb 10, and a replacement crew arrived at Male. The repatriation was carried out with the help of Thailand MFA. The vessel left Male on Feb 11 and resumed the voyage with an ETA as of March 19.
