Disabled ferry beached on sandbar
The "Langeoog 1" was disabled after a rope fouled the propeller on June 26, 2014, off Langeoog. The cargo ship "Pionier" took the passenger ferry alongside and beached it on a sand bar where both ships were high and dry in the afternoon. After the crew cut off the obstruction, the ship was ready to sail again on June 27.
