Two men died in gangway accident
Two men died when a gangway accident on the "Suzaki" collapsed in Santa Marta, Colombia, in the night of May 5, 2019. A wave hit the ship which moved and caused the structure to collapse. The men lost stability and fell into the sea. They ended up with injuries when they hit several parts of the metal structure. Aun Myo Thet, 32 years old, a native of Burma and crew member of the vessel, who died on the sport. Nicolás Carbonó López, 63, who worked as an operator of Carbosan, was transferred to the Clinic El Prado, where he died. One more person was rescued alive and without serious injuries.
