Allision in Venice

On March 29, 2021, at 10.20 a.m. the Togo flagged cargo m/v 'Baskop', enroute from Ortona and carrying a cargo of 6.200 tons of soda, was in collision with the 'Cileen M' in the Marghera port of Venice, where the letter had berthed at 8 a.m. enroute from Damietta. The accident happened during the maneuver to enter the port in the West-North industrial when she hit the 'Cileen M.' which was moored at CIAW 1 for the loading of 4.700 tons of sand. The 'Baskop', assisted by the tug 'Vanna C.', while approaching the berth, struck the port side stern of the moored ship with its starboard side stern. No injuries, no pollition reported. The Port Authority of Venice sent personnel to the site to conduct the firs investigations. In the days to come, further technical checks will be carried out by the personnel of the Port State Control Unit of the Venice Coast Guard to check the safety conditions of the ships involved before they may leave the port of Venice. Crew member injured in Larymna

The Port Authority of Larymna was notified on Dec 23, 2018, in the evening about the injury of a 54-year-old crew member of the "St. John's" which is berthed at the port of Larko Larymna to load sand. The victim was initially transported by ambulance to the clinics of the company's first aid facilities, then to the General Prefectural Hospital of Livadia and then to the General Hospital of Athens, where he remained hospitalized. A preliminary investigation was carried out by the Port Authority of Larymna.

Technical failure at Datca

The "St.Johns", en route from Diliskelesi to Alexandria in a laden condition, suffered a technical failure at Datca on Sep 25, 2018. The vessel sheltered at Datca anchorage under its own power the same day. The repair works were carried out by crew members, and the vessel was underway again with an ETA at Alexandria as of Sep 29.
