Blackout in the Kiel Canal
Enroute from Cagliari to Liepaja the "Bremer Martha" suffered an engine blackout while sailing eastbound in the Kiel Canal and ran into the northern embankment of the Kiel Canal near Breiholz in the evening of May 8, 2015. She got stuck between two doplhins after having touched the westward bound, Antigua-flagged "Pollux". The tug "Wolf" was called to assist and pulled the "Bremer Martha" to the communal port of Rendsburg on May 9 half an hour past midnight. The "Pollux" was investigated in Brunsbüttel and resumed her voyage at 5.30 a.m.
