Emergency repairs in Bay of Tenerife
Technicians fromthe Tenerife Shipyards carried out emergency repairs in the Bay of Santa Cruz de Tenerife to fix the servo rudder of the 'Helene Julie, after its crew had detected a critical failure , en route from Foynes, and moored off the island on Dec 16, 2025. The rapid response allowed the ship, which transported grain, to resume its route to Douala. The ship left the bay on Dec 23, after successfully completing the repairs and preparing its logistics before setting its final course for the African coast with an ETA at the port of destination as of Jan 3, 2026.
