Dredger damaged off Borkum
In the night of July 1, 2018, the "Hegemann 1" suffered damage west of Borkum island near the Horsborn Plate and had to enter the port of Emden for a damage survey. During the inspection of the underwater hull by divers a damage was found. On July 3 the ship entered the Emder Yard EWD for repairs. The ppolice investigated of a water pollution which was remakred on July 3 was related to the ship accident. the "Hegemann 1" left the yard again on July 17 at 1.20 p.m. and returned to dredging tasks in the Ems.
