Medevac off Bermuda
On Dec 25, 2015, at 6.35 p.m. the "Hector" sent an e-mail to local authorities on the Bermudas after an accident on the vessel, which was travelling from Gibraltar to New Orleans, in which a crew member had broken both legs. The ship diverted towards Bermuda to transfer the injured sailor, and met the pilot boat "St David" at 9 a.m. on Dec 28. The crew member was taken to waiting ambulances at Ordnance Island, and then moved to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for Treatment.
