Medevac off Kalon Limenos
The Central Port Authority of Heraklion was informed on Aug 1, 2021, at noon that the 23-year-old 4th engineer of the 'Ivory Gull', which was en route from Plaquemines Parish Port to Ashdod, was in need of immediate hospital treatment. He was disembarked with the 'Eleni' off the port of Kalon Limenos and was transported by ambulance to the University General Hospital of Heraklion for medical examinations. The bulk carrier continued its voyage with an ETA as of Aug 3.
