The "SC Chelsia" had to terminate its first voyage after having departed to Rouen after a yard stay at Kugu Buvetava, Riga, which lasted until Nov 16, 2010. The vessel berthed at the Scheer Harbour in Kiel on Nov 21 due to engine trouble. On Nov 25 the ship moved to the Lindenau Yard at Kie-Friedrichsort for repairs as meanwhile it was found out that the damage was more significant than expected and a generator will have to be completely disassembled and other works at the engine carried out before the ship may resume its voyage.
