Indian tanker first one to transit Strait of Hormouz after ceasefire
The Government of India has confirmed that the 'Jag Vikram', with 24 crew members on board, has safely transited the Strait of Hormuz. The vessel, was the first to transit the waterway since announcement of the two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran. The tanker, carrying approximately 20,400 metric tonnes of LPG, was expected to arrive in Kandla on April 14. The government has implemented enhanced monitoring measures, including a 24×7 Shipping Control Room, to ensure operational continuity and maritime security.
