Tanker saved 125 distressed migrants
The "Rizopon" enroute from Az Zawiyah to Augusta changed her course on Feb 17, 2014, and sailed to a position where a distressed migrant boat was drifting northeast of Tripoli, Libya. The tanker spotted the boat and rescued 125 migrants, two of them were dead. The tanker resumed the voyage to Augusta and berthed at the Marina di Melilli at on Feb 18 at 2.45 p.m. where the migrants were disembarked.
