Grounding in Kiel Canal
Enroute from St. Petersburg, where it had sailed on Mar 2, to Port Said the "Amgu", while passing the Kiel Canal westbound, ran into the embankment at Dükerswiscjh/Hohenhörn on Mar 8, 2014. At 7:35 a.m. the ship was able to refloat itself. At 9.30 a.m. it moored at the railway station pilings in Brunsbüttel for investigations. At 6 p.m. the vessel continued ist voyage and was being expected in Port Said on Mar 20.

Arrested vessel auctioned in Assens
The "Barbara" was recently sold on auction after the vessel berthed in Assens on Dec 22, 2012 and was subsequently arrested, odin.tc reports. The vessel was arrested by the law firm Nordia in Odense on behalf of shipyard in Gibraltar. The crew also had wage debts, and the arrest filing was joined by ITF. Now after the vessel was sold, the shipyard and the crew, which had left the "Barbara" in the meantime, were to be paid. The former owner of the vessel, The ship owner Intersee Schifffahrts GmbH in Haren/Ems, had other vessels detained for wage debts too, including its m/v "Julietta".
