Ferry damaged pleasure boats
On the evening of August 22, 2024, an accident happened in the port of Sorrento, when the “Isola di Capri”, en route from Capri, veered off course during the maneuvering operations and for reasons currently being investigated, allided with some pleasure boats. There was some damage, no injuries were reported. Immediately after the accident of the ship, the Sorrento Coast Guard intervened. The ferry left for Capri agin with a slight delay. Allision in Naples
In the afternoon of March 20, 2018, the "Isola di Capri" coming from Capri and heading to the Beverello jetty, more sheltered than the port of Calata di Massa during a storm, was caught by a wind gust upon arrival in Naples during the docking maneuvers. The ferry hit the quay with the side and was pushed against the hydrofoil "Aldebaran" of Caremar that was moored a short distance away. Passengers coming from Capri had to wait a long time for the ship to moor safely. After an inspection the ship was allowed to resume its schedule.
