Cargo ship detained for violation of Ukrainian legislation
Ukrainian border guards detained the "San Porfyrios" for entering several ports in the Crimea without Kiev's authorization. The border guards of the maritime security team of Odesa detained the vessel after it entered the closed ports of Crimea. The ship had changed its name and flag. Under the name "Sava Lake" and the flag of Panama it had repeatedly called at the ports of Crimea in 2014/15 that Kiev considers closed for the entry of ships. It was stopped in the Ukrainian waters of the river Danube while moving of Galati, where she had sailed on July 30, 2017, to Corinth, ETA Aug 4. The ship's crew, including the captain, changed several times during their visits to Crimea, with the exception of an adviser to the captain who re-entered the ports on the same vessel, which violated the Ukrainian legislation.
