Grounding near Mjølstadneset

The 'Hav Nordic', en route from Stavanger with seven crew members on board, ran aground at Eggesbøneset near Mjølstadneset in Fosnavåg on Feb 4, 2025, at 5.40 a.m. UTC (Lat. 62.3186 Long. 5.6951). The vessel lost its rudder, took on water in its ballast tanks and was listing to port side. The lifeboat "Idar Ulstein" (MMSI: 257393000) was called to assist. Another vessel went on standby at the scene until the "Idar Ulstein" arrived on scene. The lifeboat managed to refloat the vessel, which was then towed to the dock at Mjølstadneset, where it was safely berthed at 7.30 a.m. UTC. The tug 'Hunter' (IMO: 9468372 ) started towing the 'Hav Nordic' to Sczcecin on Feb 16 with an ETA as of Feb 23 for permanent repairs, proceeding at a speed of five knots. Engine failure off Fedje

On Jan 9, 2020, around 1.45 p.m., the 'Hav Nordic', which had sailed from Rotterdam on Jan 6, suffered an engine failure west of Fedje and requested assistance. The NSSR deployed the lifeboats 'Jebsen II' and 'Utvær' from Bergen and Mongstad to assist. The ship was pulled into the port of Sløvåg with the boat from Mongstad at 5.30 p.m.

On May 10, 2019, at 6.30 a.m. the "Hav Nordic", which had sailed from Antwerp on April 30, ran aground at Skagen. The ship refloated itself with own force and berthed at the Sildemels Quay at 7.40 a.m. It was detained by the Defense Command and the Danish Maritime Authority upon arrival at port for inspections and surveys. She sailed again on May 11 at 1 a.m. bound to Wallhamn, Sweden, where it arrived at 6.30 p.m. the same day.
