Shp diverted to Bermuda after Pinoy died on board
A 21 year old Filipino crew member has died aboard the "Golden Taurus" which was bound from New Orleans to Oran, North Africa. He had been found in a semi-conscious state in the afternoon of Feb 5, 2017. The vessel, which was 375 nautical miles south west of Bermuda at that time, immediately changed course for the island but despite medical efforts by crew on board, the sailor died. The ship was expected in the East End in the afternoon of Feb 7 where there deceased crew member was to be brought ashore. The ship had left the Myrtle Grove, New Orleans, with a cargo of wheat grain bound for Algeria. The ship's company representatives were expected to arrive on the island while investigations by the local Coroner and Marine Police were ongoing.
