Disabled trawler towed to Stornoway
The 'Havglans', which had sailed from Karmsund on April 3, 2020, got its trawl in the propeller in the night of April 5, 2020, west of the Hebrides three miles southwest of St. Kilda. The HRS South Norway contacted the British MRCC which coordinated the response and alrerted the emergency tug 'Ievoli Black'. It was stood down after the fishing vessel 'Selvaag Senior' (IMO: 9195793) came to assist and took the ship in tow to Broad Bay. It was anchored in position 58 15 18.0 N, 006 12 48.0 W, on April 6 around 7 a.m. The tug 'Green Isle' has been tasked by the owner to tow the vessel to Norway. It sailed from Stromness at 11.40 a.m. and was now enroute to Husoeya with the trawler.
