Attack off Yemen - one injured
The 'Hasan' was attecked of the Yemen in the Gulf of Aden on Dec 5, 2020. The ship ended up in the small port town of Nishtun, in the far east of Yemen, after being attacked on in the morning. The Master had sent a distress message, raised the alarm and took anti-piracy preventative measures, resulting in the speed boats aborting the attack. One crew member was injured during the attack. The 5th United States Navy Fleet, based in Bahrain, which patrols the Middle East waterways,was aware of the incident, but declined to comment further. The freighter was en route from Aden to Salalah, Oman, and reached the anchorage at 4.15 p.m.
