The 'Guardamar Talía' has rescued 14 North African migrants on Feb 17, 2026. After an initial response, the SAR boat entered the port of El Saladillo (Algeciras) at 9 p.m. with eight boat people on board, who were rescued from two inflatable boats, which were located 25 nautical miles southwest of Trafalgar. Later the night, the 'Guardamar Talía' was called out again and rescued another six migrants from am inflatable boat. They were also transferred to the Port of Algeciras. On the night of Nov 13 and on Nov 14, two small boats were located south of El Hierro. The closest one was 21 nautical miles from La Restinga. It was located by 'Salvamar Navia' - Jointly with the 'Salvamar Diphda'. 247 people, among them 44 women, were safely brought ashore.The second boat, 70 miles offshore, had been searched for since Nov 13 and lwas ocated by the Sasemar 103 aircraft. The 'Guardamar Talía' and 'Salvamar Navia' were mobilized and rescuing between 110 and 130 people. They were taken to La Restinga. The CCS Tenerife of Salvamento Marítimo coordinated the rescue of 68 migrants on April 1. The 'Salvamar Acrux' was deployed to assist a boat with 68 sub-Saharan Africans on board. It was escorted to La Restinga, where the disembarkation took place at 1:39 a.m. LT. The 'Salvamar Adhara' rescued 71 sub-Saharan Africans, among them one minor, 11 nautical miles southeast of Hierro. They were disembarkeed in La Restinga at 10:05 a.m. The CCS Las Palmas of Salvamento Marítimo deployed the 'Guardamar Talía' to a rubber dinghy with 55 migrants on board. They were transported to Puerto del Rosario. On the morning of April 1, the Guardamar Talía' rescued the occupants of three rubber boats in the waters of Lanzarote, which were carrying 54, 68, and 64 people respectively. All 186 migrants were transferred to the port of Arrecife, where they received medical and law enforcement attention. 66 migrants of sub-Saharan origin were rescued from a cayuco, which had been spotted by the Sasemar 102 aircraft 45 nautical miles southeast of El Hierro on March 10. The CCS Tenerife of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the 'Guardamar Talía' from La Gomera, which transferred them to La Restinga. On the night of Feb 12, the 'Guardamar Talía' assisted the occupants of two cayucos with 74 and 150 sub-Saharan people on board. At 6.35 a.m. local time they disembarked in Los Cristianos. The Helimer 204 helicopter participated in the emergency respnse. The fishing boat 'Sant Yago Uno' was first on scene and remained in the area until the arrival of the 'Guardamar Talia'.
