Grounding avoided
The "Baltic Sea" has managed to avoid grounding on rocks near Falmouth after its anchor started to drag on Nov 29, 2011. The ship was heading for rocks at Pennance Point at about 10:30 a.m. Coastguards said the visibility was appalling, and a helicopter from RNAS Culdrose on a naval exercise was called to help. The ship, with eight crew on board, managed to retrieve its anchor and move away from coast.
