Ship escaped detention in Lübeck despite five defiencies
The 'GT Pike' escaped a detention in Lübeck during an inspection on Jan 23, 2026, one day after its arrival from the Russian port St. Petersburg, by Paris MoU authorities. Both first and final visits took place on that day. The detailed inspection covered the accommodation and galley, the cargo area, engine room, navigation bridge, decks and forecastle and steering-room, with emergency steering drills also observed. Five deficiencies were recorded, none of which were being regarded as seriously and grounds for a detention. The ship left the port again on Jan 26, next headed to Gdynia with an ETA as of Jan 28.

The vessel was detained in Goole on the 07 January 2013 as the manning was not in accordance with Minimum Manning Safety Document, as the master was in custody ashore.Other deficiencies identified included the HRU’s in the inflatable liferafts were not connected properly; there were missing entries in the records of rest and the schedules for watchkeeping personnel were not properly completed. The vessel was released on the 08 January 2013
