Ruptured pipe disabled ferry
On May 8, 2017, the "Hamarøy" serving the connection between Ranavik and Skjersholmane, suffered a ruture of a diesel fuel pipe ferry and suddenly lost the engine power. As the damage could not be fixed at once, she returned to Skjersholmane. The "Hardingen" was called as a replacement.
Diesel leak stopped ferry
A technical failure of the "Hamarøy" caused cancellations and delays on Sep 11, 2012. After a fuel pipe ruptured and diesel leaked out, the engine had to be shut down and the ferry had to be towed to Lødingen at midday by the ferry "Tysfjord" which was in the area and was requested for assistance.
