Medevac off Gladstone
An RACQ CapRescue crew carried out a medevac from the 'Grebe Arrow' on Sep 15, 2021, just before midday. The vessel was situated off the Gladstone coastline when the operation took place. A helicopter airlifted a crew member who had suffered a significant injury to his arm when a metal object fell, resulting in multiple suspected fractures. He was treated and prepared for flight by the onboard flight Paramedic and Doctor and remained in a stable condition throughout the transfer to shore. The ship had arrived off Gladstone from Newcastle on Sep 14.
