Crew member medevaced after work accident
The Indian Coast Guard medevaced an injured Syrian crew member from the 'Haje Nafela', en route from Tuticorin to Kakinada, on Sep 16, 2025. The vessel was sailing about 200 nautical miles off Chennai when the medical evacuation call was made to the MRCC in Chennai. The 20-year-old Adbulkader Yahya had sufffered a severe head injury while working at the ship's deck, following which he suffered intermittent memory loss and severe contusion on the right eye.
