Ship detained due to malfunction of NOx reduction system of one generator
After its arrivalin the port of Bayonne on Feb 3, 2026, enroute from Rotterdam, the "Amadeus Pearl" has been detained by the ship safety center. The NOx (nitrogen oxide) reduction system of one of its two generators was not functioning. The ship, whiich was commissioned only in May 2025, was carrying a cargo of steel. The ship remained stationary in the port as of Feb 6.
